Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) program: A recruitment tool for long term labour needs planning

If an employer applies successfully to nominate a worker under the AEO program, the worker gets priority processing for a Canadian permanent resident visa. This is not a Work Permit application. The employer files his/her nomination at a central processing office of Service Canada based in New Brunswick. Processing takes a few weeks. The immigrant attaches the Service Canada approval to his immigration application and files overseas. The Minister of Immigration recently committed to selection decisions on applications with AEO job offers in six to eight months.
